Peacefully at the John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee on Monday, January 16, 2017, at age 95. Beloved husband of 64 years to the late Verna (nee Paget). Loving father of the late Wayne (Bev of Odessa), Cecil (Sue) of Amherstview, Wanda Emmons (Reg) of Odessa and Wendy Knoblaugh (Bill) of Godfrey. Dear grandfather of David, Tammy, Kristy, Kevin, Sean and Julie and great grandfather of Thomas, Jack, Cameron, Nick, Maraissa, Emma, Ethan, Liam, Hailey, Brenon, Zyler and William. Predeceased by his 16 brothers and sisters. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Paul G. Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main Street, Odessa (613-386-7373) on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 12 -1 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 1 p.m. Spring Interment at St. Luke’s Cemetery. Memorial donations by cheque please to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
