Obituary of Martha deBruyn (Bouwma)

Martha deBruyn passed away early in the morning on Monday, February 17, 2025 at the age of 71 at Belleville General Hospital. 

 

She spent her final days visiting with many family members and close friends.

 

Martha is predeceased by her parents Pieter and Wiep Bouwma. She is lovingly remembered by her children Amy deBruyn and Jason deBruyn (Myla), and her grandchildren; Maggie, Alison (Shane), Matthew (Bianca), Ayanna and Miriam. Martha is survived by her siblings Ann Belliveau (Bill), Richard Bouwma (Florence), and Andy Bouwma (Nancy). Marty will be dearly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews, and her friends. 

 

Her creative nature, strong faith and sense of humour shone through many of her interactions with others. 

 

A Memorial Service will be held at Community Christian Reformed Church (149 King Drive, Frankford, ON) on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2pm, with visitation beginning at 12pm the same day.  For those who are unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed via Community Frankford CRC's YouTube page. 

 

If you wish to make a donation, memorial donations to the Cancer Society will be remembered with appreciation by the family.
