Obituary of Laura Medeiros (Craigen)
The family of Laura Mary Theresa Medeiros (née Craigen) are heartbroken to announce her passing following a brief illness. Laura passed away surrounded by her loving family at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the age of 39.
Loving wife and best friend of Chris Medeiros and extremely proud and loving mother of Greyson. Dear daughter of Valerie and Denis Craigen, sister of Tim Craigen (Briana) and Anne Kerr (Doug), caring aunt of Anthony, Theresa, Celia, Stanley, Gregory and Henry. Also lovingly remembered by Kate Craigen and Sylvia Cassidy, her mother-in-law Natalia Silva, sister-in-law Doria (Joaquim), brothers-in-law Gabe and Matthew (Sara), nieces Matilde and Marta, nephew Link, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Laura was also a caring friend to many. Her beautiful smile and caring heart will be forever missed and never forgotten.
The family will receive friends at Payne Funeral Home in Odessa on Saturday, March 15th from 1-4 pm. Inurnment will be held at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund for Greyson will be arranged in the near future, anyone desiring to contribute to this trust fund can make payment payable to Chris Medeiros.
