We were blessed to live next door to Preston and his family for three years in Kingston. Preston, Josué and Eleni were inseparable, sharing time together in the pool, on the swings, on the trampoline, in the treehouse, and by the shores of the lake. The kids helped each other through the isolation of the pandemic, and their many smiles and laughs helped their grownups too. We knew this friendship would always be one of our most special memories, and even more so now. We wish Preston’s family strength and love from afar. Thank you for sharing this beautiful boy with us.

It's hard for me to imagine a world without Preston in it. I was always happy to see Preston's shoes in our entryway. We will miss his laugh, his sense of humour, and his kindness. A few months ago, Preston said I look young (for my age), so I told him he was my favourite.

Ryan Elise and Vincent. We're so sorry for your unimaginable loss. Anne and I feel like we had really gotten to know Preston quite well. Often I would see he and Gilbert walking home from school together out our living room window. They would come in and Preston would always say hello, how are you? They would usually play basketball or go downstairs and play video games or watch YouTube. I would always hear Preston's infectious laugh wafting up the staircase. he sometimes stayed for dinner. he was always up for whatever we were having. They were always so entertaining at the table, telling stories of their day at school, making us all laugh. When it was time to go home Preston was always so polite. Without fail, he always departed with the words "Thanks for having me". Losing Preston is definitely going to leave a void in all of our lives. We are all gong to miss him immensely. Know, that Anne, myself, Gilbert and Hudson are all better for having had Preston in our lives.

I am so sorry for your unimaginable loss. I first met Preston when we were teaching his class on substance use when he was in grade 6. I remember him asking me if I knew his mom and dad because they also worked at Public Health. He was so engaged and helpful. He had the best smile. Holding your family in my heart and prayers. XO
