Q: What will you miss most about Don?
A: Don was my brother, we were only 16 months apart. As young children we were very close. I did get a chance to speak at his service but I felt I didn't say enough.
Don was a humble man with great integrity. I looked up to him.
Donnie, I love you and will miss you terribly. I hope mom and the rest of the family were there to meet you.

I am saddened by Don's passing. I was a colleague at CSC, NHQ, and I remember Don's smile whenever I had the opportunity to visit the Ontario Region or when we met at NHQ. Don was loved and respected by his employees and colleagues, at the office and outside of work. Don managed the IMS Ontario Region with professionalism, wisdom and compassion. I remember running into Don and his youngest son at the Vancouver Airport, the event he recalled and wrote about in my retirement book. He also gave me a keepsake of the Kingston Pen as a departing gift. I had not had a chance to see him since I retired, so the news of his passing came as a shock.
My thoughts are with Ann and with all of Don's family.
You left too soon, Don. Rest In Peace.

I worked with Don at the Memorial Centre in the canteen when we were teens. He always had a big smile on his face. I remember Ann started to work in the canteen and they became a couple. That was a lifetime ago and I have some fond memories.

I first met and worked with Don in the PJHL. He was always positive and friendly whenever we met at League meetings and events. As a fellow team President, Don always shared freely ideas, and words of advice. I really appreciated his inclusive attitude and willingness to say the tough things that needed saying at meetings. He'll be greatly missed as one of our team Leaders.
