Obituary of Doris Wemp (Hough)

Doris Lorraine Wemp passed away peacefully at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital on Tuesday, July 1^st, 2025. Doris resided at the Village Green Retirement Home in Selby for the past 3 years, she would have celebrated her 97^th birthday on September 2^nd. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Wemp. Loving mother of Delores Hunter (Robert) of Napanee, caring grandmother of Derek Hunter and Melissa Tipper (Eric), and proud great grandmother of Nolan and Claire. Predeceased by her brother Ronald Hough (late Betty). Dear sister of Shirley Greer (late Lyle) and Gwen Pekarik (late Louis). Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Grace Bailey, brother-in-law Bill Churchill, and several nieces and nephews and their families.

The family will receive friends at Payne Funeral Home in Odessa on Monday, July 7^th, 2025 from 10-11:30 am. A Graveside Service will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Amherst Island at 1 pm. Reception to follow. For those desiring, memorial donations to the L&A Hospital Foundation or the Ontario SPCA L&A would be appreciated by the family.
