Papa. What a joy it was to have had the honour to call you that. You always made me feel welcome in your home and in your family, from the day Conner brought me to meet you. I knew everything I needed to know before that day, though, just from the way Conner and Loretta spoke about you. You were fiercely loyal, you loved very deeply, you had so much patience. Your sense of humour always entertained us and your kindness is what made our family what it is today. You were selfless, holding so much love for your family. So much so that your dying wish was to see your grandson happily married. What a gift it was to be able to make that happen for you. Your signature on our marriage license meant a lot to you, it meant a lot to Conner and it meant a lot to me. To me, it means you trust me to keep him happy and safe and cared for, especially now that you’re resting. I promise I’ll do all of that. I know you’re at peace now, and I’m very glad your pain is finally gone, but we’re gonna miss you a lot around here. This isn’t goodbye, this is just until we meet again. We love you a lot papa.

Don was a great man! Loretta I'm so sorry to have read this, your dad was a awesome man and a strict one when he needed to be! I grew up with Loretta and was at their house more then mine! I got to know Don through his daughter Loretta as i am a very good friend of hers. While he was staying with her even though it was a short time i could tell the bond that they had together was one of a kind. I enjoyed our conversations we had together and the humour he had. Don will greatly missed by all of his family. Rest Easy Don

Donny was fun to be around and will be missed. It was special that he joined "the group" for coffee only a short time before he passed away. Tim Horton's will not be the same... We especially enjoyed getting to know him better over the last couple years. He was a caring and kind individual always ready to lend a hand, and loved his family.
