Obituary of Carl Ray Rogers

It is with great sadness that the family of Carl Ray Rogers announces his passing at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the age of 86. Cherished and beloved husband of the late Anna Mae (née Calver) for 62 years. Dear father of Pam Franklin, Angie Jenkins (Wayne), Corbin Rogers (Karla), and caring ‘Dad’ to granddaughter Leanne. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Ashley, Adam, Sarah (Chris), Nicole (Adam), Carl (Mackenzie), Tamara, Paige, Caleb and Cohen. Proud great grandfather to 16 great grandchildren. Son of the late Nile Rogers and Dorothy (nee O’Neil). Dear brother of the late Wayne Rogers (late Dianne), Jean Kemp (late Art), the late Garnet Rogers (Marion) and John Rogers (Linda).

Brother-in-law of Franklin ‘Bud’ Calver (Jane), Kenny Calver (Shari) and Larry Calver. Predeceased by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ben Thurston (Margaret), Eileen Caldwell (late Al), Laverne Marshall (late Ernie), June Stokes (late Red), Rod Calver (late Linda), Norma Scott (late Carl), Joyce Gibson (late Jim), Karen Walker (late Carl), Frances Bedore, Linda McFarlane (late Don), and Brenda Calver. Dear nephew of Gayle Hammond. Also remembered by his beloved friend Betty Breakenridge, and by many nieces, nephews and their families. The family would like to thank Dr. Bal and all the nursing staff on Connell 9 and Davies 4 ICU.

A private family Graveside Service will be held at the Newburgh Cemetery on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 2 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at Odessa Fairgrounds Palace on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 12-4 pm. For those desiring, memorial donations to Emmanuel United Church in Odessa would be appreciated by the family.
