Obituary of Judy Joyce (Hanna)
With heavy hearts, Judy’s family announce her peaceful passing surrounded by loved ones at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Friday, October 24, 2025, in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of Jerry Joyce and caring mother of Autumn Pearce (Jeff). Extremely proud grandmother of Jacob. Dear sister of Grant Hanna (Shawn), Phil Hanna (Carol Anne), the late Deb Thompson (late Miles), Susan Baker (Hughie), Gwen England (late Rick) and Robin Asselstine (Dave). Predeceased by her parents Audrey and Kenneth Hanna. Also lovingly remembered by the Joyce family - Leonard (Lynda), Anne-Marie Scott (Ron), Mary-Linda Kimmett (Jeff), Paul, Vincent, and Peter (Angela). Judy was also a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews and their families.
Judy was born in Perth, Ontario on July 23, 1954. Her early years were spent growing up in Bolingbroke, the family then relocated to the Reidville area where many happy occasions continued and were enjoyed with family and friends. Judy was a dedicated employee at McKeown and Wood Limited for many years and co-owner of Joyce’s Meat & Deli with Jerry until their retirement on August 1, 2022. A talented craft lady as well, Judy spent many hours creating lovely pieces for family, friends and her community. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
The family will receive friends at Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa on Wednesday, November 5th from 1-4 & 6-8 pm. A Graveside Committal will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery in Centreville on Thursday, November 6th at 11 am, with a reception following at the Selby Hall. For those desiring, memorial donations to the Cancer Society or the L&A Hospital Foundation would be appreciated in memory of Judy.
