Obituary of Eric Davey

With heavy hearts, we announce Eric’s passing peacefully at the Providence Care Hospital on Saturday, November 1^st, 2025 in his 77^th year. Loving husband of Audrey Davey (née Kinnear) for 47 years. Only son of the late Jack and Elinor Davey and son-in-law of the late Roy and Betty Kinnear. Missed by sisters Lynne Puddephatt (late Phil), Jackie Benest (Byron), Laurie Quantick (Robin) and Melissa Homer (Ray). Brother-in-law of Brenda Matthieu (Art) and the late Edwin, Robert and Dale Kinnear. Remembered by several nieces and nephews and doting dad to his fur babies Piper and Heidi.

Eric spent 6 years in Toronto working at the Ministry of Environment, later relocating closer to home to work 28 years in Belleville at Nortel. In retirement Eric drove school bus for Martin’s which he thoroughly enjoyed. He played on stage for many bands throughout the years and had a great love for making music and playing his bass guitar. Eric was also a lover of our feathered friends and made sure bird feeders were well stocked.

As per Eric’s wishes, there will be no service. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Newburgh Hall on Sunday, November 16^th from 2-4 pm.  For those desiring, memorial donations to Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre will be remembered with appreciation by the family.
