I remember my Aunt Lil with fond memories. Our dad, Stanley Scouten, would take us out for a visit to the old farm. When LIl, Virgil and the kids moved to the new house, it was always a treat to see my cousins. Once I learned to drive a car, I remember stopping by just to say say hi. I remember, Aunt Lil, now she wasn't very tall as you remember, greeting me at the farmhouse with a hug and a warm smile. My condolences go out to all the family members. She will be sadly missed.

A Polaroid Instantmatic colour photograph from the 1970's of Great Auntie Lil and Great Uncle Virgil who was looking over her shoulder in the background at a celebration party.
Original photo is compliments of Raymond Milton Scouten and his wife, Aline Amyotte-Scouten but was digital modified by myself for memory sharing purposes.

I remember as a young girl and my dad (Stan Scouten) would bring us out to the farm. I remember Aunt Lil as this feisty little lady always happy and welcoming. Us city kids so much enjoyed being at the farm with all the girls, and of course the two young baby boys. I remember my cousins, Sharon, Linda, Penney, Laurie, Kathy, the boys, David and Donnie not quite so much as they were very young.
Linda, Sharon and I lived close to each other in Kingston for awhile and I find it odd not see their children mentioned in the obit. I struggled the other day to remember all of Linda's girls names until today. My daughter played with Karen and Erin, Courtney was just a infant at the time. Also do not see Kirk in the obit either, Sharon's son. It is unfortunate to leave anyone out. It is important to remember everyone for the future of our family.
Aunt Lil, you will be missed and you will be remembered by all your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Rest in Peace, with love from Anita

A sad loss indeed. It’s unfortunate how inaccurate the obituary is with a number of grandkids and great grandchildren missing. It’s evident the writer of this (Penny Eyre) has deliberately done this. Missing grandchildren listed are children to Sharon, Donny, Linda, Dave. My parents are Dave and Sandra.

Deepest sympathy to the Scouten family. The obituary is an important family record, and if possible to submit a correction so everyone is properly acknowledged. It appears that some of her surviving grandchildren and great grandchildren were intentionally left out.Including them would mean a great deal to the family and would help ensure the obituary reflects her full legacy.

Chickadee, I remember the day I asked you if I could start calling you that. I was sitting on the floor talking to you and you were by the bed folding your little towels. I said someone use to call me that and I always loved it so I'm passing the nic name onto you. You said sure thing. Aww Lillan I'm going to miss you so much, all the morning hugs, the laughs, check in and of course that music blasting! You rest easy now sweetheart thank you for all the beautiful memories these past three years of getting to take care of you.
One more time for the road Lilly my little song for you

Dearest Lil ... sad news to hear you have left us, but we know you will now have forever happiness!
It was a grand day when we met, as Donnie and Nigel (Shelly's dad) was updating your bathroom and floors in your house.
Your grandchildren Shelby, Gordon, Leanne, mom Shelly, and I all joined you in your living room for giggles and your precious stories. Dave had also dropped in with his children Jordan and Brooke, so it was such a fun day with family!! (Not sure why "someone" would eliminate these grandchildren plus great-grandchildren Danica and Malia, from your obit Lil, so I thought I would make you smile :)
We wish you peace and happiness Lil, until we meet again ... God bless!! xoxo
