Obituary of Donald Huff
Retired Roads Superintendent for 25 years - Loyalist Township (formerly Ernestown Twp.) and Roads Crew for 36 years. “Donnie, Don, Donny, Huffy”, a lifetime farmer and lifetime member of the District 8 Roads Superintendents Association, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in his 95th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years, Edith M. Huff (nèe Smith). Loving and caring father of Janet Huff (Alain Hauseux) and Joanne Rogers (Rob Lappan). He was a proud Grandpa and will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Jayne (Cooper), Taylor, Emelia (Collin), Sabrina, Theren and Brooke (Jarrett), and by his great grandchildren Wren, Salem, Quinn, Jamison and Chester. Don was the only child to the late Clifford and Dorothy Huff and honourary brother to the late Albert Lockwood. Dear brother-in-law of the late James Smith (Ann), the late Helen Huff (late Howard), the late Jesse Smith (late Audrey and late Rose), the late Morley Smith (late Mary), the late Lyle Smith (Judy) and Margaret Whybourne (late Gordon). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families.
The family will receive friends at Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main Street, Odessa on Sunday, March 1st from 1-5 pm., and on Monday, March 2nd from 11-1 pm. Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm. Interment St. Luke’s Cemetery, Camden East. A reception will follow at the Fairgrounds Palace. Memorial donations to St. Luke’s Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
