Mark Ronald Hanna

May 1, 1960 – March 7, 2026
 

It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Mark Ronald Hanna of Belleville on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the age of 65, surrounded by family and loved deeply.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Hanna (nee Tapp); his children and grandchildren: Andrew (Lindsay) and their children Braeden, Claire and Logan, Amanda (Sylvie Leblanc) and their child Jon Fox, and Rebecca Cunnington (nee Hanna) (Glenn) and their children Liam and Olivia; as well as his brother Stan (Martha). He will also be dearly missed by all his friends. 

He was predeceased by his loving mother and father, Shirley (nee Foster) and Ronald Hanna.

Mark was a loving man, described by many as a man who was for people and cared about those who needed love. He was born in Picton and was a small-town man to the core. He was many things over his life: a butcher, a jailer, a foster parent, and primarily a carpenter, after his own father. He was a man with an exceptional work ethic who always made time for his family. He was someone who listened well, gave great advice, and was always there to help anyone who needed it. He was someone who approached life from a help-others-first perspective and carried no judgment in doing so. He is someone who we should all strive to be like, loving, caring, and accepting.

Mark’s celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Westdale Park Free Methodist Church, 7 Richmond Park Dr., Napanee. Visitation is from 1-2 pm, the service will be at 2:30 pm, and there will be a reception afterward with light refreshments and snacks. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to UHKF (KGH NICU) would be appreciated by the family.
