Obituary of Victor Simpkins

Please share a memory of Victor to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The family of Victor Albert Simpkins are saddened to announce his passing surrounded by family at the Smiths Falls District Hospital on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in his 84th year. Deeply missed by his beloved wife Linda (nèe Hogan) of 55 years, his caring daughter Connie Stewart (Greg), his loving grandchildren Emma Proulx (Ben) and Owen Stewart (Maeva), and cherished great grandchildren Violet and Leona. Also deeply missed by his furry buddy Tomaz. Victor was predeceased by his parents Albert and Dora Simpkins.

Not only a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Victor was many things. A Masonic Brother (62 years), Church Lay Reader (53 years), Co- worker (30 years), and Farmer (you never really stop being a farmer). He was a friend to many and a family member to a privileged crew. The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful hospital staff for the compassionate care they provided and kindness shown to Victor.

The family will receive friends at Payne Funeral Home in Odessa on Saturday, March 21st from 1-4 pm., with a Masonic Service beginning at 12 pm. Interment will be held at St. John’s Cemetery in Bath at a later date.

For those desiring, memorial donations to SickKids Hospital Foundation will be remembered with appreciation by the family. Please share your memories and condolences to the family on this tribute wall.
