Our family appreciated Evan's help in providing a portable sound system for family events and the wedding of two of our daughters. Also at St. Albans church in Odessa we have relied on Evan for years to provide a sound system wherever it was needed. His expertise often came with a pleasant smile and an interesting story about the equipment, what works and what doesn't.

I used to ride in the starting gate at the local fairs when I was a kid , I believe with Bobby Wills, if my memory serves right. I used to spend hours just watching the horses come to the gate. My mother knew Evan and the family well. She was an avid horse race fan and attended all the local fairs and so I was brought to many. I have very happy memories of this time as they used to say “hop in” and always seemed happy to have me tag along.. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear MaryJane and family, so sorry to hear that Evan passed away. Eldon and I so enjoyed having time with Evan and you at the Brooklin Fair. Eldon enjoyed more his visits with Evan at all the other fairs where they would watch the demo derbies and the truck pulls together.
We are sorry we can’t make it down for the funeral, but we will keep you all in our prayers.

Met Evan over 20 years ago at the original Lindsay Fair. He was a knowledgeable man, wonderful for a laugh and always had the sound levels just right for me.
Condolences to his wonderful wife and all his family. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

I remember Evan for the many years he attended Picton fair bringing his sound system. He was very much a part of that annual event and when he drove through the gates you knew that soon country and western music would be coming over the speakers. He was a very pleasant man, always smiling. RIP Mr. WIlls

Dear Wills family,
I first met Mr. Wills at the Delta fair when I was showing horses in the late 70’s. Mr. Wills was always friendly and had time to speak with you no matter how busy he was announcing or between classes. Mr. Wills was a fantastic announcer and will be missed by many.
Sincerely

The Board of Directors of the Delta Agricultural Society would like to extend our deepest condolences to Bill, Cindy, Jamie, Mary Jane and their families at this most difficult time. Remember that your loss is shared by your Delta Fair family and know that you are in our thoughts, hearts and prayers. May the good memories that you have about Evie always remain strong and true. His kindness and compassion towards his fair friends will be sadly missed along with his dedication and love for the fair community.
During the opening ceremonies of the 195th anniversary edition of the fair in July 2025, the main stage at the fair grounds was named in honour of Evie’s 65 years of service to the Delta Agricultural Society.
