Liam was the coolest person I ever met. Always making me laugh and always helping others the
best he can. I remember playing video games that he never played before, and in a day he
would improve so much that it made me jealous and proud. Liam had a way of making people
feel comfortable and included. He brought a lot of kindness into the lives of the people around
him. He had a great sense of humor and he could make people laugh when they needed it
most. He was someone you could count on, no matter what. He made ordinary moments feel
special just by being there. He cared deeply about his friends and showed it in the little things.
He had a genuine, good heart that people won’t forget. He left a lasting impact on everyone who
knew him. I’m grateful for the time I got to know him.
Sincerely,
Ryan Ross

Liam was a very fun person to be around either in class or when playing video games after school. Even when having a hard time with some of his school work he would ask for help instead of just asking for the answers, he would chose to under stand it then take the easy way. Every game we played together he made it way more fun and we had many funny moments together. He was one of the few people that was genuinely funny I know, when he would joke he would tell the risky jokes over the basic jokes everytime. He was the type of person that would never take things seriously, like one time in French class he tried to make the ugliest poster possible and got a A on it. We had countless calls that lasted hours talking and playing games together sometimes it was horror game or strategy or luck games it didn’t matter he made it 1000x time better. If he was ever in a situation when he didn’t know what to do, he would try his best to help you or comfort you to the best of his abilities. Liam was a truly kind person and nice person to everyone. Liam was incredibly close with his cousins, Gabe and Kain, whether it was rage baiting Gabe or taking goofy photos and videos with them. Liam loved his cousin more than anything. Me, one other person and Liam had a group chat where we would talk, game, or rant, that goes back over a year. Even though I only knew Liam Gatto for 2 years, he made everyday more enjoyable and more fun. He will forever be a part of my life for the rest of my life. May he rest in peace, gone too soon, we can only hope he’s in better place now.

I feel truly blessed to have known Liam over the years and to have seen him grow within our school community. Though shy and quiet in class and small groups, Liam had a beautiful way of opening up when the moment was right. After class or during a quiet moment on the yard, he would speak with passion about his art or pets, his eyes lighting up as he shared. Liam was so attuned to the environment around him; he noticed the smallest changes in the classroom and on the playground, always observing, with clever commentary. He carried a combination of seriousness and silliness that made him both deeply thoughtful and quietly joyful.
One memory that will forever make me smile was during his time in our daily small-group reading program. Liam realized that the schedule meant he would miss parts of his regular classes (Music and French). At age 10, worried about his responsibility for these subjects, he gently negotiated with me to skip one reading session per week so he could still attend those classes. That mix of determination and mindfulness was so perfectly him.
Oh, sweet Liam. The world was a truly better place with you in it. Your kindness, curiosity and gentle spirit will be dearly remembered and deeply missed.

Liam and his mom Julia are my neighbours, and very kind people. When I read the line in the obituary that mentioned Liam holding doors for others, it didn't surprise me as he always held it for us here at our building. Our hearts are heavy for Julia and her family. Liam will be missed beyond words.

I have such fond memories of Liam. I remember telling him that he was my “lightbulb kid.” We would work through a concept together, and then suddenly I could see it click and his whole face would light up. He didn’t just understand; he suddenly understood deeply, and he was so proud in those moments. I loved watching that happen.
Liam worked hard and was endlessly curious. We had such great conversations because he was always so inquisitive and eager to understand more. He brought so much heart to his learning, and it meant a great deal to me to know him. He had a beautiful smile and such a wonderful presence.
He left a lasting impression on me, and I feel truly grateful to have been his teacher.

His eyes were made from the skies, his smile a donation from the sun, with a slightly impish grin when he was having fun.
His heart was that of an angel, his soul was older than his years, I wish I would have told him all I feel in these tears.
He was a gift to everyone, and simply he was taken too soon, he was the stars his mom was his moon.
A world without him here doesn’t feel quite right, in a place full of darkness he was a bright shinning light.

Some of the best moments Ive had with Liam were in Mr Kytes math class when we were in a math group together. Liam, Parker and I used to get the smallest amount of work done because we couldn't stop laughing or joking around long enough to even notice we had work to do. When Liam wasnt laughing and joking he was always checking in on or complementing people. When Liam sat with me in Mr Kytes class he always helped me out with math the best he could even though he knew just as much as I did so we had to do our best to help eachother. Liam was also an amazing artist and drew some pretty awesome and funny pictures. School isnt the same without him and we miss him everyday.
Sincerely

My name is Loralee and Liam was one of my friends. Even though I am only in grade 3, he was always nice to me. I broke my ankle and have not been able to go outside for recess. When Liam would stay inside to help the teachers do folders, he would always make me laugh by pretending the chairs were his crutches, and would ask if I thought they would work as good as mine. I miss him a lot

liam is one of the sweetest kids i ever met. Every single time i walked passed him in the hall he had a huge smile on his face and he has never failed to make me smile too. At school when we went out for town on fridays, we went to free flow and he always bought a caramel starbucks drink, sour cream and onion pringles, and 2 bags of pizza flavoured chips, whenever i walk past any of those snacks i always think of liam.
