Obituary of Dave Larkin
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of David Francis Larkin (Dave) on May 31, 2026. He passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Born to Edith and the late Bernard (Buck), he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to his family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Sheryl and a proud, loving father to Jason (Maeve), Melissa (Brad), Emily (Jake), and Katie. He was a cherished grandfather to Troy and Hailey, who brought him endless joy and pride.
Dave will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Cindy (Randy), Brenda (Terry), Paul, Anita (Greg), and Michele (Vance) and his many nieces and nephews. Known for his fun-loving spirit, he embraced life to the fullest and was always the first person willing to drop everything to help someone he cared about. He had a passion for cars and music, but nothing meant more to him than spending time surrounded by family. His kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering love for those around him will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
He enjoyed a fulfilling and passion-filled career at the Wilton Cheese Factory, where he took great pride in his work and formed many lasting friendships over the years. Though he is gone from our sight, his love and the memories he created will remain in our hearts forever. We would like to share a sincere thank you and gratitude to the Napanee cancer clinic nurses who provided amazing care throughout his treatments, and a tremendous appreciation goes to the Kidd 9 oncology nurses who provided remarkable care to him in his last moments.
The family will receive friends at Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 3-7 pm.
