Obituary of Dianne Gardner (Scott)
Carol Dianne Ruth Gardner (nèe Scott), known as Dianne Gardner who lived in Amherstview, then Napanee Ontario, passed away at 3:30 am on June 16th, 2026, at Kingston General Hospital surrounded by her family and close friends. Dianne was born in Norwood Ontario on October 9, 1949, to Max and Ruth Scott and to three older brothers Greg, Ron, and John Scott.
Dianne was a teacher for Limestone District School Board for thirty plus years and was always known as a kind soul to rely on, no matter the student. Some notable achievements throughout her life include her presidency of the Lioness Club and treasurer of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Dianne was known as a boisterous and empathetic woman, always able to find the humour within life but also always able to recognize when someone needed a shoulder to lean on. Her memory is survived through her loving husband of 55 years Dave Gardner, two daughters Caitlin Connors (Scott) and Bonny Belyea (Chris), as well as her three granddaughters Abby Connors (Carter Campbell), Emi Niven, and Mischa Niven.
The family will receive friends at Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main Street, Odessa on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 10–11 am. Funeral Service will follow at 11 am. For those desiring, memorial donations to the L&A Hospital Foundation, University Hospitals Kingston Foundation, or Morningstar Mission would be appreciated by the family.
