Obituary of Arthur Thompson

Art passed away peacefully at Perley Health Long Term Care Home in Ottawa with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in his 88^th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 65 years, Norma (nèe Sweet). Dear and loving father of Caroline Thompson (Stephenie La Maina) and fondly remembered by Allen Larabie. Survived by his sister Doreen Bell (late Lorne). Predeceased by infant daughters Lisa, Jennette and Janet, his parents William and Helen (nèe Lemmon), his brother Don Thompson (late Agnes) and sisters Marion Hartin (Larry) and Jean Asselstine (late Doug).

The family will receive friends at Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 12-1 pm. Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm. Interment Newburgh Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Rideau Veterans Residence at Perley Health would be appreciated by the family.
