Obituary of Janet Bettschen (Somerville)

Janet passed away at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Friday, July 24, 2026 with her loving and devoted daughter-in-law Patricia by her side. Also deeply loved and missed by her grandson Nicholas Bettschen (Kyle), granddaughter Tiffani Van Vlack (Dylan), and great grandson Rhett Otto Van Vlack. Predeceased by her beloved husband Otto in 2014 and by her dear son David in 2025.

 

Janet, along with her husband Otto, operated O. Bettschen Construction Ltd. for many years. She enjoyed Bluegrass music and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

 

A private Family Interment was held at the Lutheran-Union Cemetery on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Please share your memories and condolences to the family on this tribute wall.
