Dear Matthew, Melissa, and families, we are all so sorry to have learned of the loss of your Dad, and my friend David. This is an especially difficult blow coming so soon after our recent loss of Allen. David and I shared the very best and most carefree days of youth that anyone has ever enjoyed. It was nearly sixty years ago we rode our bicycles out to the Gilmour family cottage at Loughborough Lake, an adventure I can still feel in my heart today. This led to so many subsequent adventures and wonderful times, hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycling, snowmobiling, and enjoying to the full the joy of youth in the great outdoors. Truly the best, happiest, most carefree days that were ever lived by anyone, anywhere. Thank you David for sharing all of that with me, and especially for your friendship. I will certainly never forget any of it!
We’ll be thinking of you all through the difficult days ahead, and praying that peace and comfort will fill your hearts as the future unfolds.
