Obituary of Robert Lewis Brockman

Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Peacefully at home in Amherstview in his eightieth year, with Beverley, the love of his life for 57 years by his side. Although he has passed he will always be remembered by his loving children, Stephen, Bill (Paula), John (Kerri) and Karen (Brent). He will be greatly missed by his flock of grandchildren, Stephanie (Dan), Sarah (Dennis), Stephen, Brandon, Scott, Shawn (Danielle), Mackenzie, Cortney, Dustin, Taylor and Mitchell. He will also be missed by his three great grandchildren, Sophia, Sawyer and Cohen. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Alice. He is survived by his sister Nancy and brother Ronald as well as many sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. His love of hockey and racing has created many lasting memories and friendships that will never be forgotten. But apparently some stories are not allowed to be mentioned according to the “old timers” code. The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Brian, Carolyn and Giselle for being there for mom. The family will receive friends at the PAUL G. PAYNE FUNERAL HOME, Box 324 - 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373) on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Funeral Home on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Bob would be greatly appreciated by the family. We will miss you Dad / Grampa, so “keep your stick on the ice” and “the rubber to the ground” until we meet again. Online condolences at www.paynefuneralhome.com
