One of my fondest memories, one that illustrates the kind of person Rick was, is when he and I went out into the woods to build a campfire. Rick managed to get a fire going, though the wood was bit damp, and my lighter was nearly out of fluid.
We spent the night talking, about life, dreams for the future. And when it got cold, Rick selflessly gave me his hoodie. He was that kind of person. Selfless.

You were always there for me. My protector, my friend, When you were with me, I felt safe, during a time when nothing was sure, and the world lacked colour.
Even though we had no homes, and were in a shelter, you felt like home to me. And even though our romance lasted only the length of that summer, you can’t know the importance of that time for me. You made me understand who I was, and that I deserved happiness.
I will miss you always.

I remember a photo of you me gary and bobby all together. I wish we could have met when we became adults. I never stopped trying to find you once i became old enough to read a phone book. I always wondered about all of us. I found Gary and Bobby. Our sister melody as well. They are doing well. I'm happy I finally know what you look like. Your brother Cole.
