Obituary of Robert Lang
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert Arnold George Lang in Kingston on February 11th, 2024, at the age of 63. Robert was born on April 6th, 1960 to Clayton Lang & Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Lawson (née Freeman) in East York, Toronto. Robert attended St. Michael's Choir School from Grade 2 through High School. He ventured downtown every Sunday to sing in the Cathedral and travelled around the country performing with the Choir. Robert also played on the St. Michael's Hockey team and held a position on the football team as well. Robert continued singing in the Men's choir at St. Michael’s while studying at U of T - Theology Languages and Botany.
Robert had an exceptionally brilliant mind. He was a compassionate, kind and loving individual who was funny and adventurous. He celebrated all occasions with excitement and enthusiasm, he loved gardening, singing and travelling, but most of all Robert loved his family immensely. He was blessed to grow up in a loving home, visiting with his grandparents, aunts, uncles and many cousins in Toronto and the beautiful Manitoulin Island.
Predeceased by his dear parents Clayton & Elizabeth, and sisters Maureen Heyink, Eileen Smeltzer and Elizabeth Farren. He will be deeply missed by his loving sister Dianne Lang (Todd) and by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and caregivers. Robert you will remain forever in our hearts.
