Marion was many things: a teacher, a lawyer, feminist, parent and grandparent, a loyal friend. She enjoyed world travel, she did the New York Times crossword puzzle, daily, in ink, without errors…amazing!!
Marion was a force of nature! She loved good books, good movies and good friends. She loved her family, and she loved her grandchildren and would, every year, at spring and summer breaks, gather the grandchildren, and aunt Michele, to visit various Toronto “hot spots” like the Zoo, Ontario Place and many more. Those tracks were, and remain, legendary. and will be warmly remembered as “grandma’’s days. Thanks Grandma and Thanks Marion. We will remember those times for ever!.

I first met Marion at ONA. She was very loving, kind and supportive of me. My daughter Kendra (her God daughter) spent many summers and Christmases with her and family, for which we are very grateful.

My grandmother was one of the most intelligent and funny women I've ever met. We always had the best talks together when she would pick me up from the train station to visit her. She would take me and all of my cousins for March break, it was like camp but with your family members. She's the reason why our side of the family is so close and I'll always be thankful for that. She was the best grandmother anyone could ever ask for.

I first met Marion as a lawyer for ONA at an arbitration for nurses at Wellesley Hospital. She impressed me then and continued to do so when I worked with her at ONA. She championed nurses, women, education amongst many other issues. She was a mentor and inspiration to many of us. There were many chats, laughs, dinners (many Greek) and drinks in the years I knew her. She had a great sense of humour along with serious issues and never let us down. She will be missed.

I always admired Marion—after an already established career, she decided to go to law school as a mature student, graduated and then to pursue her interest in labour law, came to article for my firm where we became friends—although we lost contact over the last years, her perseverance and friendly optimism will always bring me fond memories and earned my respect.

Marion was centered on her family, and also touched deeply her many friends, as well as being an effective activist in her communities. Hers has been indeed a life well-lived, and well-loved. I first met her when she was a law student and I was a new parent - she guided me in parenting then and in the years after, by her presence and example and sound advice.
