Obituary of Dorothy Slade (Jones)

Dorothy passed away peacefully at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital on Sunday, June 30, 2024, in her 83^rd year. Beloved wife and best friend of Barry Slade for 42 years. Lovingly remembered by her children Kim L’Oiseau (John), Corey Hayes (Mae Lee) and Michael Slade (April). Cherished grandmother of Jacob (Autumn), Jewel, Ben (Baylea), Maddy and Ella. Great grandmother of Aubree, Kash and Hendrix. Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Florence Jones, her brothers Dudley and Gordon and sister Thelma. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

The family is extremely grateful to all of the Doctors, Nurses and staff at L&A Hospital, especially in the CVC Unit for their extraordinary and compassionate care provided to Dorothy.

The family will receive friends at Payne Funeral Home in Odessa on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 11:30 – 12:30 pm. A Graveside Service will follow at Cataraqui Cemetery at 1 pm.
