Obituary of Florence Tackaberry (Findon)

Florence Elizabeth Tackaberry (née Findon) passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, 13 days after the passing of her beloved husband of 70 years, William (Bill) Tackaberry. She was surrounded by her loving family, cherished son Randy Tackaberry and his wife Liane, much loved grand-daughter Monika Tackaberry and her husband Michael Johnson, and dearest brother and sister-in-law Blaine and Bonnie Tackaberry.

Florence was a dedicated volunteer at Emmanuel United Church where she selflessly gave her time and energy to support her community, always with a warm smile and kind word. She was known for her delicious baked goods, particularly her ‘sticky buns’ which bought joy to all who tasted them.

Florence is missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends that frequently visited her and brightened her days. She is also survived by son Trevor Tackaberry (Crystal) and their daughters Leah and Lauren.

She was predeceased by her parents Leonard and Nellie (née Gardener) Findon, her sisters Edna (Eddie) Williams and Elsie VanDusen, and brother John Findon.

A joint Memorial Service will be held for Bill and Florence at Emmanuel United Church (63 Factory Street, Odessa) on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 11 am., with a reception following. For those desiring, memorial donations to Emmanuel United Church or Wilton Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
