Obituary of Pauline Dafoe (Peters)
Pauline Alma Rose Dafoe (Peters) - It was special today to sit at the bedside of our 93 year old mom and see her prayers answered. Mom went to a new address, HEAVEN, to be with her Saviour. Her husband Allan Dafoe of 49 years and her daughter Anna Rose whom she never got to meet on this earth, lovingly welcomed her also. Her parents Rev. Nelson and Nellie Peters were waiting with open arms and hugs for her, along with her two brothers David and Carroll Peters. We plan to all be reunited again ‘but until then’ her daughters Cheryl (Warren) Bennett, Heather (Rodney) Peterson, and son Deene (Amanda) will remember the example she lived before us.
She was a person committed to the cause whatever that cause would be; playing piano, harp, accordion, singing, Postmaster, listening with her heart, enjoying a cup of green tea, watching her granddaughter play rugby, grandson play basketball, and encouraging us all to do our best. She loved everyone and also loved cats, dogs and horses. The grandchildren Christopher (Pam) Bennett and Melonie Bennett; Heidi (Alistair) Davis and Aaron (Brittany) Peterson; Sydney, Gavin and Ryan Dafoe will always remember her faithful, consistent prayers and love. The family will miss the encouraging phone calls and her hotline to Heaven on our behalf. The great grandchildren Andrew, Caleb and Brianna Bennett; William and Abigail Davis; Kaiden, Jensen and Averella Peterson will be encouraged to follow Grandma’s style, wow that’s a challenge! Pauline’s sisters Winnifred and Linda along with her nieces and nephews will cherish the special memories of sharing life together.
Pauline’s family will receive friends at Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Celebration of her well lived life will be held at her home church, Wilton Standard, 242 Simmons Rd., Wilton on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 11 am. Burial at Wilton Cemetery with a luncheon to follow.
Memorial donations to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, New Life Ministries or any Missions of your choice will be remembered with appreciation by the family. Please share your memories and condolences to the family.
