Reverend James was always a joy to talk with: encouraging and inspirational. He leaves a legacy for his family worth honouring. My prayers are with you, his loving family. Were I in Canada, I would surely attend his memorial. God Bless you and the celebration of his life

I will always have fond memories of Rev. James as our faithful pastor & friend here in Whitby during those fond years. He was always fervent for the Lord - calling on people, working in the big garden for the church & anything he felt like doing as a pastor. He was always full of The Lord & wanting to get people out to church & prayers meeting or whatever was going on.
He was a dear, sweet, bubbly & did whatever he could for The Lord right up until The Lord called him home to rest.
The old Soldier has called him Home to rest at last.
Our thoughts & prayers are with him entire family as they say goodbye.

What a glorious day in Heaven it must be! Our world is a little darker with the passing of Pastor Reynolds, but oh how bright the heavenly realm must be right now. I can honestly say he is the most joyful spirit I have ever come across and his joy was infectious to anyone in his path. He will certainly be missed but we have the comfort and peace knowing that he will meet each one of us as we journey on to glory! Your family is so blessed to have a Godly man like Reynolds as its leader and what an example he left for us all. Our prayers are certainly with you all. Lots of love: Bob and Cindy Leonard

We're praising God for all the years of having Rev. James & his pastoring in Whitby & the many years of seeing him serving The Master in his life. Rev. James was the type of man who served the Lord in all aspects of his life & was a great example of being a Soldier of the Cross.
Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

Rev. James is remembered for so many different acts of kindness. I appreciated, as did my Mom, his visits to my Mom in Helen Henderson some years ago. Also more recently my brother, Wilfred (who just preceded him to heaven less than a month ago), spoke very highly of him while they both were in Helen Henderson. A great warrior is enjoying his home in heaven.

We had the pleasure of coming to know this dear man at Sydenham, Roblin, Bethel & Ivanhoe family camps many years ago. Just last year, he commented that he wasn't sure he was going to be able to get to them all, but at the end of the summer, he triumphantly announced at Ivanhoe, that he had attended them all! What an inspiration he was! Rev. James would always bring His Lord into conversations along with scripture he had memorized over the years. He was a great example to me. He loved being wherever the gospel was being preached or sung about. Won't he be rejoicing now?!! My husband and I will be praying for your family, as I'm sure you'll miss this dear saint!

So loved by our whole family and one of our most cherished memories of him is how, during Wesley Acres family camp, he would pick strawberries during the day and would sell them off to those of us waiting at the end of evening service. He would then donate these funds to missions. In all things he was serving his Lord!

I have heard and seen over and over again the impact this godly man has made on the life of everyone he met!
I know he has made an impact on myself personally and also on my late husband, Ormond, who is in heaven today largely in part because of Pastor James' influence and friendship.
I remember Orm saying one day after Pastor James had left after visiting, "Now that's a man one could follow after!" Praise God he did!
Thank you, Pastor James, for a lifetime lived unstintingly for your Lord!

A very wonderful man if God. I respected and appreciated the kind words and wisdom. I will always remember the visits, the prayers, the car loads of strawberries at Wesley Acres. His long married life was a true example of loving and cherishing, till death do part. He was faithful to everyone. He was an intercessory prayer warrior. More than once, he told me he was awake late in the night praying and taking "my burdens" to The Lord. The treasures he stored up in Heaven are now available to him. I am saddened for the family loss but assured that he no longer needs his walker and is wearing his crown. Praying for comfort and peace for the family.

I've always appreciated and respected my Uncle Reynolds. He was probably the most positive person I have ever met. His bright smile and attitude was so consistent, so friendly, and such a remarkable example of the Christian faith of how we all should be. He will be sorely missed by those who knew him on earth but now he rests with his Saviour forevermore...and we will see him again.~ Niece Jane
