HAYES: Acton John 1925 – 2014 Peacefully passed away at the Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, March 11th, 2014 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Pearl ‘Opal’ (Griffith) of Odessa. Loving father of Arthur(Bea), Carlotta Taylor (the late Paul Taylor), Madeline, Sylvia Ouelette (Brad), Clayton(Monica) and Nathan. Cherished Pop of Shawn, Wayde, Jenny, Ryan, Dereck, Corry, Adam, Michael, Timmy, Alex, Jaydon, Jayda, Stacey, Jonathon, Karl, Kenny, Andrew and spouses. Adored Great Poppy of 16 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Dear brother of Doris Robey and predeceased by brothers Clarence, Victor, Stanley, Arthur and sisters Kathleen, Christine, Gwen, Nola and Hazel. People will remember Acton for his love of his family, horses, curling, and being a lodge member for many years. The family will receive friends at the PAUL G. PAYNE FUNERAL HOME, Main St., Odessa, 613-386-7373 on Friday from 7 – 9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11am with Rev. D. Bailey officiating.
