We have lost a great friend from Amherst Island. My family and I enjoyed visiting back and forth with Lloyd and his family while we lived beside them in our cottage. Over the years I have kept in touch, sometimes not that regular, but they were still in my thoughts and prayers.
My thoughts are with you, Elaine, Brent, Roxanne and Brent and all the family members that I have met over the years while on the Island.
I'm sorry for your loss, Juanita

We will miss you Uncle Lloyd. From steering the Amherst Islander with you when I was a little boy, to my little boy sitting on your knee steering your golf cart, there are so many great memories that will always be with us. Rest in peace.
Aunt Elaine, Brent, Roxanne and Dakota, our hearts go out to you.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I met Lloyd thru Rosie, his sister in law. We all met for the last two years at the Amherst Island Music fest, enjoyed the music, chatted about the Blue Jay scores on a fun Saturday afternoon. He seemed a gentle and happy man. He will be missed

Sending my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to all the family, especially Elaine, Brent, Roxanne and Dakota. You will think of Lloyd every day and eventually your tears will turn to a smile and a chuckle or two when you remember him. I will always remember Lloyds smile, twinkling eyes and soft laugh. Uncle Lloyd was always the strong silent type with a twinkle in his kind blue eyes. He knew just what your mind was on to and his smile and chuckle are memorable. I have lost count of how many times he (purposefully) sprayed me with Lake Ontario waves while crossing on the Amherst Island ferry. We had a bit of a competition over many years, I was on the receiving end of some good soakings, with much laughter and ruefully exchanged grins. Over the years we have returned to Amherst Island, as a family. Our children were always so excited to see Great Uncle Lloyd and ride on "his" ferry. He too enjoyed their bubbling over enthusiasm and charming visits. Our heartfelt condolences to Auntie Elaine Brent&Roxanne and Dakota
Always in our hearts, lovingly in our memories

Uncle Lloyd was such a kind, gentle, soft spoken, sweet man ! A very talented musician , Captain of the Amherst Island Ferry ( My boys always thought he was the coolest when he would let them come up into the Captains quarters and watch him drive the ferry ! ) Aunt Elaine and Uncle Lloyd were a loving couple with whom we enjoyed our many gatherings of Family reunions, Wedding Anniversaries etc. on the Island ! You both have been a big part of my many Wonderful Memories on Amherst Island ! Uncle Lloyd also survived raising his Son Brent Wolfreys ,,,who was a handful at times I am sure ,,, as Brent spent time at our place hanging out with my brothers when we were younger ! Uncle Lloyd's reward for not strangling his teenager was his Grandson Dakota Wolfreys whom he loved Very Much ! He cherished his Daughter in Law Roxanne, who fit into the Family so well !
I am going to miss Uncle Lloyd's smile, his beautiful blue eyes, his sense of humour, and his sweet chuckles ! R.I.P. Uncle Lloyd !
Luv, Roberta & Hugh , Randy & Keirstin & Family, Thomas & Megan
