It was a surprise to hear that Bill had passed away as I was asking Dell Blakeney just a few weeks ago if he knew of Bill's whereabouts. I have good memories of our time in Germany and in Kingston in the late 70s. The last time I saw Bill was at my Daughters's wedding in Kingston, probably in 1983. My deepest condolences to the family and our prayers are with you in these difficult times.

I was so sorry to read about your Dad's death in the paper. I lost my Dad several years ago, so I am well aware of the difficult time you are going through. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you, and that with time the pain will heal but your memories will stay strong. Take care. Marg

To Bill’s family, my sympathy. I will always have excellent memories of our time in 4 Provost Platoon in Germany especially when we were both sent (by our CO Capt Desormeaux) to attend an Unarmed Combat Course with the British Army; Bill was my partner on the course and my ribs are still a bit sore…

I'm saddened to hear of Bill's (Mr. Shadforth) passing. He was a great man with a big voice for all those who met him at the ball field...lol. I have such great memories of him as my ball coach and always had the highest respect for him.
He will be missed, my prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

We are sorry to hear of the passing of Bill. I will always and fondly remember Bill on the baseball diamond behind the plate making good as well as a few bad calls during a baseball game. I will also remember Bill in the stands at the arena enjoying and cheering on the Amherstview jets junior hockey club. He was our favourite fan. Our prayers are with the family at this time. Thank you Bill for being in our memory and rest in peace.

We remember Bill as an X member of the Canadian Provost Corps and a avid hunter who loved his wife, children and grand children and his passing leaves us all grief stricken. He is fondly remember by all of his friends in the Military and also those in Corrections Canada where he was employed in his second career.
