ROGERS: Roy Cecil
Peacefully at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital on Thursday, December 4, 2013 after a short illness at the age of 82. Survived by his loving wife Betty Ileana Rogers (Shane). Loving father of Heather (Doug Baker), Deborah Rogers, Myron Rogers (Carla). Loving grandfather of Brooke Gaffney(Paul), Ryan Baker(Stephanie), Alex Baker(Erica), Jordan Rogers(Jenna) and Mitchell Rogers. Proud great grandfather of Evan Gaffney and Caleb Baker. He is survived by his sister Margaret Martin and predeceased by his parents Joseph and Laura(Thompson)Rogers and brothers Harold and Stirling (Anna) Rogers. The family will receive friends at the PAUL G. PAYNE FUNERAL HOME, MAIN ST., ODESSA 613-386-7373 on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11am in Edith Rankin Memorial United Church with Rev. Dr. W. Soble officiating. Interment at 2pm in Wilton Cemetery. Special thank you to all of the doctors, nurses and volunteers at CCAC, Kingston Cancer Clinic, KGH and St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to either Edith Rankin Memorial United Church or the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario (U.H.K.F.)
