Vaughan, Wm. D. (Bill) Peacefully at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital on the 29th day, October, 2013. Survived by sister Shirley (Ron) Stables, Grange-over-Sands, England. Predeceased by his wife in 1992, yet living life to the fullest. He is remembered as one who could converse wonderfully with people of any age. Best remembered in Napanee where he lived for the last half of his life (serving his community as a public health inspector between 1974 and 1990). He travelled the world, first as a British commando, then with the United Nation’s World Health Organization and finally on cruises to every continent. He made friends wherever he went. At his request, Bill’s body is donated to science at Queen’s University. A memorial will be held on November 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm. at the Napanee Legion. Gifts in his memory may be directed to Branch 137, Royal Canadian Legion, 26 Mill Street East, Napanee, ON K7R 1H2.
