Peacefully surrounded by his children at the Kingston General Hospital on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Predeceased by his beloved wife Gwen (nee Lambert). Loving father of Michelle Howland (Gerry), Danielle Henderson (Donny), Shawna Mayer (Paul), Lisa Hird (Chuck) and Ian Davidson (Carey). Dear grandfather of Brandon, Nicholas (Montana), Ashley, Charlee (Jordan), Joey, Bryar, Noah, Claudia, Nicholas and Sophia. Survived by his sister Cheryl Osborne (Charlie) and predeceased by his brother Larry and sister Lynda Sharpe. Dennis was born and raised in Kingston and was a 35 year employee of Queen’s University. The family would like to send a special Thank-you to the nurses on Davies 4, Kim and Heather and to Dr. Nathan Moulson. A very special Thank-you for the care and support over the last year to Mary Godfrey who came in daily to help Dennis with the basic needs of living as well as the Mayer family for their loving care. A Celebration of Dennis’ Life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. at 3844 Daley Road, Sydenham (just off Railton Road). If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque please to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Spina Bifida Association. Arrangements entrusted to the PAUL G.
