Obituary of James Robert 'Bob' Asselstine

Entered into rest suddenly on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the L&A County General Hospital, Napanee. Bob Asselstine in his 84th year. Dear husband of 59 years to Genevieve (nee Normile). Loving father of Donna French, Myrna Ennis (Barry), Linda Ivanic (Michael), Nancy Ingersoll (Roderick) and Steven (Irma Chard). Proud gramps of 8 grandchildren. Survived by his brother Ben Asselstine (Doris). Predeceased by his parents Bruce and Helen Asselstine, his brother Gerald and sister Marie. The family will receive friends at the Paul G. Payne Funeral Home on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., after which a Celebration of his Life will take place with Rev. Oscar Simpson officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Salvation Army.
