Obituary of Susan Karen Parkinson

Please share a memory of Susan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
(April 10th 1964 –August 30th 2016) - Passed away unexpectedly at her home, at age 52. Sue’s many accomplishments and associations with the greater Kingston community are various and too numerous to list. Sue is survived by her mother Susan Parkinson of Gananoque, older brother Mark (Kate) of Odessa, younger brother Antony (Jessica) of Gananoque and beloved daughter Sarah Cameron of Toronto. As Sue wished, cremation has taken place and interment of her cremated remains will be held in a ceremony at a later date. In honour of her life long association with the 58th Air Cadets, a Celebration of her Life will be held at HMCS Cataraqui - 24 Navy Way, Kingston, Ontario on Saturday, September 24th from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Come celebrate her life. Sing and dance, tell stories and lies. A piper will be in attendance. The family thanks the 58th Air Command, HMCS Cataraqui, and their associated Officers and Cadets for standing forward to help at this time. Memorial donations by cheque to Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre, I Am Alive Pet Rescue, or do what Sue would have done, volunteer your time to an organization that needs your time and help. As she often said, the organization or event does not matter, just volunteer and make our community better. Arrangements entrusted to the PAUL G. PAYNE FUNERAL HOME, Box 324 - 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373). Miss Me But Let Me Go - When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little – but not too long and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me – but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss Me – But Let me Go!
