BARKLEY: Violet May (April 19, 1923 – May 14, 2016)
Violet May Barkley passed away on May 14 at the age of 93, Violet is survived by her husband Bill of 73 years. Survived by son Bill (Darlene Bell), daughter’s Jean (Ed Watt), Brenda McPhail (Allan), son Gordon (Kathy). Predeceased by daughter Pat Gervis (Gary deceased). Grandmother of eleven and great grandmother of eight. She will also be missed by her little dog Maisy. Violet’s highest priority and biggest joy was her family. One of her favourite activities was a good game of euchre. The family will receive friends at the PAUL G. PAYNE FUNERAL HOME, MAIN ST., ODESSA 613-386-7373 on Wednesday, the 18th from 10am to 12 noon. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 2pm with Rev. S. Ambury officiating. Interment Wilton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy and for those wishing to, the family would appreciate donations to either Emmanuel United Church or the charity of your choice. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Trillium Centre (Ridge), for the excellent and compassionate care Violet received.
