It is with sadness that we learned of the passing of Bernie. Over the years we have shared with Bernie and Edna. Bernie's mother "Nellie", on one of her visits to us when we lived on Maple St., Gananoque, gave us a gift of some 'money' to buy our daughters, Peggy and Kathy, crinolines to make their special dresses 'pretty'. With Dick's change in health, we have not kept in touch, but are grateful for Dick's step-sister, Terry, keeping the contact on behalf of Dick and his brother, Michael. May God grant all your family comfort and peace and many fond memories.

I remember Bernard and his wife visiting my Mother, Bernice Edwards (O'Neill) and the stories my Mother use to tell me. When Mike asked me to check on Bernard from time to time I didn't hesitate and after going with Mike for a visit With Bernard 3 years ago I felt like I knew him forever and started to visit him, taking him meals and goodies . My respect for your Father was tremendous and yes even grew to a love for him. I send you all my deepest condolences and prayers at this time of sorrow. May the perpetual light shine on Him and Grant Him Eternal Rest. Amen!

Judy, Tom and families....I am so sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. He was always a great neighbour as I was growing up over the years next door. Between he and Edna and my mom they kept tabs on everyone and everything that happened in our little hamlet. I won't be able to come and pay respects as I am currently vacationing in Atlanta Georgia and will be heading to Savannah on Wednesday.
He was a great man who lived a long happy life. My thoughts are with you all at this time.
