I find myself thinking of you from time to time. Our friendship was important to me, it's the reason I tried reconnecting all those years later when you were in Kingston. Finding out that you were gone shortly after we started talking again was such a shock. Miss you and thinking of you today.

Alanna, I will remember you for all the beauty that you brought to my life in such a short, but important time. A woman of few words but with so much to say. Everything that you touched you brought such life to. Today, a new pot of plants sits in my windowsill as a memorial to you. Your memory lives on in all those who loved you so much.
Flowers grew where you stood,
sprung from the soles of you,
from the shadow you left.
You leave gardens
every time
you walk away.

Very sad to hear this great loss. I didn't have the honor to know Alanna long but what I did know about her was her compassion for others, her warm smile would brighten anyone's day even in the stormyest of weather. My humblest regards to the family. RIP Alanna
