FLESCH, Master Warrant Officer (retired) Clement Andrew (Andy) Passed away peacefully 16 January, 2016 at KGH in his 89th year surrounded by his loving family. He was married 60 wonderful years to Elizabeth (Bette) Anne (nee Brady) who died in 2012. Loving father of Terrence (Patricia), Stephen (Janet), Elizabeth, and Vicki (Mike Moore), and adored grandfather and great grandfather to Clarke, Brady, Kirsty, Brandon, Kelly (Gary McNeice), Tracie, James, William, and Katherine. Predeceased by siblings Gerald, Anita, Marie, and Bernie, Andy will be sadly missed by brother Mike (Glenda), brothers-in-law Jack and David Brady, sisters-in-law Beryl Brady and Helen Hunt, and many nieces and nephews. Born in Sudbury, raised in Cobourg, Andy enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1948 serving with the RCEME/EME Corps. After a 31-year career in the Regular Force, MWO Flesch transferred to the Reserve Force (Princess of Wales Own Regiment) and worked full-time at Base Maintenance, CFB Kingston for another seven years. Sports played a major role in Andy’s and Bette’s lives. They enjoyed curling, bowling, hockey, baseball, and golf as well as their individual sporting interests. Andy excelled at many sports with tennis and golf being particular favourites. This precipitated a family love of sports and many good-natured sporting challenges. Andy was particularly proud of his multi-year role as the Junior Golf Coordinator at Garrison Golf Club. Andy will always be remembered for his devotion to family, keen sense of humour, infectious smile and the sparkle in his eye. He was a kind and gentle soul with a big heart. He showed respect and kindness to everyone regardless of their station in life and enjoyed the company of many dear friends. He was a faithful parishioner and supporter of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic church. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Andy’s life will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church on Saturday Februrary 6 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Reception at church to follow. The family would like to express a special thank you to all of the doctors, nurses and personal care attendants of 9 Connell at KGH for the wonderful care extended to their father over the past two months.
