Obituary of Wilbert "Bill" Samuel Barkley

Bill passed away peacefully at Trillium Retirement Care in Kingston on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at age 96. Predeceased by his beloved wife Violet on May 14, 2016. Loving father of Bill (Darlene Bell), Jean (Ed Watt), Brenda McPhail (Allan), Gordon (Kathy) and the late Pat Gervis (late Gary). Proud grandfather of 11, great grandfather of 9 and great-great grandfather of 1. Survived by his brother George (Susan) and predeceased by his sister Blanche Duff (late John). Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Trillium Retirement Care and St. Elizabeth Health Care for the excellent and compassionate care Bill received. The family will receive friends at the Paul G. Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373) on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 10-12 p.m. A Graveside Service will follow at Wilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations by cheque please to the Salvation Army or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
