Obituary of Alice May Powley

POWLEY: ALICE MAY Entered into rest after a brief illness at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital on Friday, May 29th. Alice Thurlow dear daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Thurlow in her 88th year, beloved wife of the late Kenneth. Loving mother of Brian & his wife Susan, Gary & his wife Wendy, Craig and the late Randall. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Sarah (Darryl), Andrew (Michelle), Jesse, Rachael, Michael, Max and great granddaughter Hanna. Dear sister of Mary Dawson (Frank), sister-in-law Frances Thurlow and predeceased by Ruby Abrams, Agnes Cashman, William & Walter Thurlow and Ethel McCann. The family will receive friends at the PAUL G. PAYNE FUNERAL HOME, Main St. Odessa 613-386-7373 on Friday, June 5th from 7-9 pm and 1 hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Odessa on Saturday at 11am with Rev. G. Long officiating. Interment Wilton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to either St. Alban’s Anglican Church or St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital (U.H.K.F.) Lady Nelson Rebekah Lodge # 327 will hold a memorial service at 6:30 pm in the funeral home.
