Carl, Tammy, Jim, Mary and families so very sorry to hear of Liz's passing. We have many good memories from back in the days at Ernestown. We remember when Tammy was born as Liz & I were in labour at the same time, We had some fun at the Alcan picnics at the point and once Liz & Neil almost broke their necks in a three legged sack race. It is memories like this that will keep Liz forever in our hearts.
thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time,
sincerely Pam & Neil Cowell

Tammy, Carl and Family, our love goes to each of you at this time. I wondered at first if it would be ok for this venue, to capture a few funny memories. Then I thought to myself, Liz would chose a humour over tears if given the choice so why not? I just cannot manage to think of Liz without smiling about the past, growing up across the street. How many times did she act exasperated with us, (but with a smirk) when we chose roller-skate routines, kick the bucket and literally frying plain chips in salt and vinegar (because there was no S&V chips in the freezer!) over the kid chores of watering the petunias, feeding the animals or running an errand to the store on time. Speaking of animals, how many animals did she tell Tammy, that she could NOT have, only to have too big of a heart to turn them away. We all know Liz loved them. Tammy’s current pet rats however, Liz may never have grown to love those. The proof was in the phone call I received last summer to “come to the house and feed the cat because “that silly animal” would not leave the room the rats were in, SO, she could not put the cat where he was supposed to go, because she was not going near those things”. She always, always made me laugh, from childhood to adulthood. Even each and every time you Tammy, arrived at my house from Ottawa only to find out your Mom had already called here to check on your arrival…and she would always tell me who it was that was calling…it makes me laugh just thinking of it. I know there are MANY, MANY more memories we will pour over in the coming years, honoring her. She is remembered as a woman of strength, humour, patience (to a point…did you not, Tammy, once take over the spare room of the house as your own without even asking??), and also, a woman who was fiercely, fiercely proud of her family and loved without question, each one of you. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered. xo
