William Brierley was born June 8, 1922, known to some as Spark or Sparky, passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Monday June 18, 2018 in his 97th year. Born and raised in Kingston, where he stayed, and raised his family. Bill served in WW2 climbing the ranks to Petty Officer. Predeceased by his late wife Mabel (Hutson). Forever loved, missed and remembered by his daughters Linda (David), Susanna (Andy) and Debbie (David). Loved by his grandchildren Christopher (Crystal), Joshua (Hannah), Ryan, Jeremy, Carrie, Kimberly (Derek), Jordie and Dillon and great grandchildren Ellie, Alex, Kaylee and Carter. We would like to express our tremendous gratitude for the wonderful help and care of the Helen Henderson Lodge and staff who supported and cared for him the past 2 years. A special heartfelt thank you to Jennifer his PSW and friend for many years and Autumn and others at Saint Elizabeth who made challenges easier. To the Staff in D4 Critical Care who always gave a smile, even a piece of cake and a Western movie was greatly appreciated. To all the staff on Connell 9 and 10, Thank you. A Celebration of William’s Life will be held at the PAUL G. PAYNE FUNERAL HOME, 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373) on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. An intimate graveside service at the Cataraqui Cemetery will be held with family and friends at a later date.
