"There is a place of commanded blessing where brethren in unity dwell."
There is just one body of Christ and Lily loved the Lord Jesus and His people. Although she lived apart from her birth family most of her life, her apartment had many photos of family members and friends.
God did not leave her orphaned. He became a Father to her and gave her loving church family, neighbors and caregivers over the years.
At her graveside service, not only was there a student from India representing her heritage, but there were representatives of at least three denominations and caregivers. I thank God for her friendship and the grace of a peaceful death for Lily. God won the battle in the name of His Son. Acts 16:18

I first met Lily when I was a bank teller with TD Canada Trust more than 10 years ago and then again when I became a PSW with the VON as her caregiver. She was a very special lady who was always kind, generous, thoughtful and caring. She always had a hug for me whenever I saw her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace my dear friend. Maria

I met Lily through the Kingston Access Bus, in the 10 years i have worked here, Lily was my favorite caller. Lily and I would go for dinner and I would go to visit her, we grew close enough that she insisted that I call her Momma. (grandma to my son) I will forever miss her calling me kid. "I love ya kid," she would say at the end of each conversation. Lily was sweet and kind, she was soft spoken and strong and I will miss her every day. I am forever grateful to have had such a wonderful friend. I love you Momma Lily.
