Obituary of Audrey Myrtle Weekes (nee Brown)

On January 8, 2019 in her 81st year, Audrey, surrounded by her children and husband of 48 years, peacefully passed away at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KGH). She is finally at peace after a lengthy battle with multiple health issues. Predeceased by her first husband, John (Jack) William Mitchell. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Merrill Weekes, her loving children, Cindy Hineman (Gary), Willie Mitchell (Roblyn), Diane High (Rick) and Douglas Mitchell (Patricia), her stepchildren, Randy Weekes (Christine) and Alan Weekes (Maryanne), her cherished grandchildren, Bobby (Emily), Darcy (Jody), Annette, William (Sierra), Shane (Kristina), Jesse, Riley, Maddelyne, Gabriel, Eva Mae, Krista (Clayton), Adam, Kate and Miles and great grandchildren, Owen and Raven. Predeceased by her brothers Ray Brown (Helen), Clarence Brown and Doug Brown (Helen). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families. Audrey will be greatly missed by her furry companion, Peaches. Special thanks to all of her support workers and to all the amazing staff (Nurse Eric, Dr. Nate and the other attending staff) at KGH Emergency Department for making her comfortable during her final hours. The family will receive friends at the Odessa Fairgrounds Palace on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 12 – 1 p.m. Memorial Service and Frontenac Chapter #90 Order of the Eastern Star Service will follow at 1 p.m. A Reception will follow.
