I was tremendously saddened to hear of Hazel's untimely death.
Hazel and I worked together in Alumni Affairs. She was my mainstay, always helpful, always cheerful with a great sense of happiness about her.

I am very sorry for your loss . Losing a loved one in death is such a difficult thing to experience . Please be comforted by the promises in the Bible . Jesus tells us at John 5 : 28 , 29 that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out . What a loving provision put in place by the God of all comfort so we can have the assured hope of seeing our dead loved ones live again one day . Roger and family,
As you know, Hazel was a very special lady. She was loved and admired by many. We will all miss her, but I am very thankful to have had our special times and now have my memories with Hazel too. Someone so special can never be forgotten. My heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time.

I worked with Hazel in the Alumni Affairs office at Queen's for many years -- too many to recall exactly how long it was, but it was at least a decade. I have many memories of those years, some happy, some less so. (At times, it was a crazy place to work.) But my memories of Hazel and of working with her are only fond. She was a remarkable person -- wonderfully warm, friendly, and caring. Hazel also had a delightful sense of humour and loved to laugh. That's what I remember best about her. So sad that Hazel has left us, but she lives on in the memories of everyone who was fortunate to have known her.
