Obituary of Vivian Luella Wilson (Craig)

On February 24, 2020 Vivian passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus. In her 95th year, she went to join her beloved husband Sidney in heaven. Loving mother of Frances Ethier (Lowell), Helen Wiltse (David), Gordon (Beverley), Peter (Bonnie) and Douglas (Sheri). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Mandy, Julie, Valerie, Scott, Heather, Miranda, Jonathan, Thomas and Rebecca and by her 11 great grandchildren. A longtime resident of Switzerville, she was a dedicated farmer’s wife and loving mother. Mom had a deep love for children and often used her nursing background to assist people with health concerns. The family wishes to express a special thank-you to the caring and compassionate staff at Helen Henderson Care Centre in Amherstview.

The family will receive friends at the Paul G. Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373) on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 4-7 pm. A Funeral Service to celebrate Vivian’s life will be held at Odessa Free Methodist Church, 78 Main St., Odessa on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2 pm. A Reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Alzheimer Society of KFL&A, Child Evangelism Fellowship Ontario or a charity of your choice.
