Obituary of Bertha Joyce Mills (Veley)

Passed away peacefully at home in Kingston, surrounded near & far by her loving family on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, in her 77th year. Cherished and beloved wife of Les Mills for 60 years and truly AMAZING Maw to Pansy VanCoughnett (Joe), Eddie Mills (Rietta), Timmy Mills (Sean), Tammie Shatraw (Chuck), and too many others who adopted MAW to mention by name! Cherished friend of Ron Patterson. Loved deeply and missed by her grandchildren, Vicki (Brian), Amanda, Jessica (Corey), Tommy (Crystal), Mindy (Jesse) and Katana (Ryan) and by her great grandchildren, Dustin, Kayly, Dylan, Annie-Jo, Lilly, Jadelynn, Zoe, Peyton, Brielle, Tanner and Deacon. Predeceased by her great grandson Jacob, sisters Edna, Vicky, Mabel and Lois and brothers Len and David. Survived by her sisters Isabel and Ethel and brother Bob. Lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, extended family and so many wonderful friends.

Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank all of the Doctors and nurses on Connell 9 and 10 at KGH and the endless support and efforts from the LHIN group of nurses and amazing staff, also Jason Smith (Payne Funeral Home) and family for their care, compassion and wonderful support.
